Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Making cookies to share
Members of Collingtree Park’s Memory Lane dementia community enjoyed making cookies for other residents and staff to enjoy. Our regular baking sessions stimulate all the senses from the feel of the dough to the smell from the oven and the taste of the end result. We also shared memories of baking with family.
Bruce was happy with his gift
Everyone at Collingtree Park received a specially chosen gift and Bruce was very happy to receive his on Christmas morning.
Northamptonshire's oldest has vaccination
Joyce, aged 109, is believed to be the oldest person in Northamptonshire. She is a very popular resident at Collingtree Park and always has a story to tell. Joyce was very happy to have her Covid vaccination.
Burns Night Celebrations
On Burns Night we were delighted to welcome Rod Elder, who kindly visited Collingtree Park to play the bagpipes in our car park, for the enjoyment of residents. The whole home celebrated the birthday of Rabbie Burns the Scottish poet, who famously wrote the poem ‘Address to a Haggis’ and the well know New Year’s Eve song, ‘Auld Lang Syne’. Graham and all our residents listened while Caroline, who hails from Scotland and is a member of our Housekeeping team, carried out the traditional reading of ‘Address to a Haggis’, after which the haggis was cut and served for lunch. Residents enjoyed the music, food and tradition of the day.
Herbert and Lance have their Covid vaccinations
Two of our gentlemen are overjoyed they have had their first Covid vaccinations at Collingtree Park. Herbert is 95 this month and has been saying for a while that he wanted to be first in the queue when the vaccines were ready. He had his this week, along with other residents, and is over the moon to be part of the national vaccination programme to rid the country of Covid. He said, “I am very glad to be having it and doing my bit”. Lance, aged 80, was also very happy to be having his vaccination and said, “I am over the moon about having it – I’ve been waiting a long time for this”.
Staff are pleased to have their first vaccinations
Staff at Collingtree Park are delighted to have received their first Covid vaccinations and are showing their vaccination cards with pride.
