Activities at Crandon Springs Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Katherine Cork
Hello, my name is Kath and I’m the Activities Assistant here at Crandon Springs.
As part of the Activities and lifestyle enrichment team, I help in organising our daily activities, ensuring that all of our residents have a variety of activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives by providing meaningful and engaging activities and, having been both a teacher and care assistant in the past, have a wealth of experience behind me. You'll rarely find me without a smile and I'm very family orientated, and I love how both the residents' and colleagues Crandon Springs feel like a second family to me!
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Health Awareness Week
As part of our Health Awareness Week, we held a Vegetarian Cafe - absolutely no real meat! We sampled all types of vegetarian food including “Veggie Sausages” and “Veggie Chicken” - we also sampled some dips and sauces, one of our visitors even made us some fruit kebabs as a special treat! Thank you, they were delicious.
We then tried “Kombucha” a live cultured fruit drink - but not everyone was fan!
We hope you are all keeping well and healthy!

The Gardening Club
The Gardening Club took a walk to the market, they collected some flowers and bulbs ready to plant.
We set about potting the plants and embedding some flowers. Let's see what we can accomplish in the Garden this year!
