Activities at Crandon Springs Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Katherine Cork
Hello, my name is Kath and I’m the Activities Assistant here at Crandon Springs.
As part of the Activities and lifestyle enrichment team, I help in organising our daily activities, ensuring that all of our residents have a variety of activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives by providing meaningful and engaging activities and, having been both a teacher and care assistant in the past, have a wealth of experience behind me. You'll rarely find me without a smile and I'm very family orientated, and I love how both the residents' and colleagues Crandon Springs feel like a second family to me!

Life at Crandon Springs Care Home
Breaking Ground
Barchester Healthcare marked the start of their newest care home build in Wells, Crandon Springs, which is under construction by Acheson Construction Ltd.
Andy Williams, Senior Property Development Manager at Barchester, was joined by Luke Fallon, Project Manager, from Fed 3, where they met Marcus Drysdale, Managing Director, Ian Chorlton, Contracts Manager, Leigh Hill, QS, and Jonathan Gawler, Design Manager, all from Acheson Construction, to take a tour of the site and review the build in progress.
After the tour, Andy said: "My colleagues and I were very impressed with work we saw at the latest Barchester site. The new care home will be an important facility for the district and a very welcome source of employment."
Andy continued: “We are very excited about the construction of our new care home in and I feel lucky that our prospective residents will have a home set in such beautiful grounds.
“There is a real need for quality care in the local area and our new home will definitely meet this, and potentially give a boost to employment in neighbouring communities.”
Crandon Springs will provide high quality care services, as well as dedicated dementia support in Barchester’s unique Memory Lane Communities.
