Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Chloe Collins
I have moved to Falmouth from Kent where I was already in place at another Barchester home as the Activities Coordinator. I love providing our residents with fulfilling activities and my specialty is arts and crafts. I have a degree in Fine Arts and achieved a first in the subject. I strive to provide our residents with a varied range of life enriching activities. I like to get to know each residents and their interests to I can tailor activities to individuals interests and hobbies.

Life at Falmouth Court Care Home
Visit to Rewind Radio
Our Home Services Advisor Hugh, along with Adele from our sister home Kenwyn Care Home - Barchester Healthcare received VIP invitations to attend Rewind Radio Studio Open Day.
It was an exclusive day that showcased this very local radio and Adele and Hugh were even invited into the Studio whilst they were Live on Air. Rewind Radio is a fantastic Cornish station made in Cornwall for Cornwall. They do so much to support the Cornish community and we look forward to a continued relationship with the fantastic people at Rewind Radio.
World Cruise - Australia
Our Residents and activities team had a lovely afternoon with our 'World Cruise' stopping in Australia to celebrate to celebrate 'Australia Day'. Our wonderful Chef's prepared some themed treats and tasting bites for everyone and the activities team decorated and dressed up for the occasion. Everyone enjoyed a fun sing along during the afternoon too.
'Tea Dance with a Difference'
We had a 'Tea Dance with a Difference' here at Falmouth Court this week and what a wonderful time everyone had. It was such a joy to see our residents so engaged and dancing to some classical tunes. Along with Lovely music and dancing there were also fun games and the whole afternoon was interactive and inclusive for all.
Trip to Gylly Beach Café
Our ladies took advantage of the sun this week with a trip out in the minibus to Gylly Beach Café for some lovely warm coffee's while watching the winter sea break over the beach. We try and get our residents out and about in the local community as much as possible. Gylly is a favourite place for a lot of our residents to visit.
Christmas Quiz Night
Another spectacular quiz created by our amazing Bob who is our Head of Maintenance.
Bob wears many hats and quiz master is certainly a favourite! We enjoyed a Christmas theme quiz and our residents and relatives worked in teams. We enjoyed a couple of drinks to toast to the Christmas season.
Our winning team won a beautiful hamper and split the winnings with their fellow residents.
Ladies Pamper Event
Our fantastic Life Enrichment team held a wonderful pamper event for our ladies
They enjoyed face masks and manicures whilst drinking their chosen tipple. Our ladies love a pamper and regularly enjoy visits from our beautician and these events.
