Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Trip out for a Pint

A lovely Sunday afternoon trip to Falmouth Golf Club for our residents. We loaded up our minibus and took them out to enjoy the gap in the rain. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon tipple while taking in the breathtaking views over Falmouth Bay towards

St. Anthony's Head. Laughter filled the air as everyone shared stories of days gone by.

Pamper Afternoon

We couldn't have asked for a more fabulous and relaxing day here at Falmouth Court Care Home! Yesterday our amazing ladies were treated to a well-deserved pamper afternoon.

From hand massages to rejuvenating facials, our lovely residents were pampered like royalty. The smiles and laughter filled our beautiful Cafe, and it truly reminded us of the importance of self-care and taking time to indulge in life's little pleasures.

To add some extra sweetness to the afternoon, our chef's prepared delightful fruit platter and and we offered some invigorating fruit smoothies for everyone to enjoy. The cucumber for the eyes was even grown by our resident gardening club!

Queen's Jubilee Tree

Do you remember the tree we planted for the Queens Jubilee?

Last June we took our resident on a trip to the the garden centre to choose a tree to plant in our beautiful garden to commemorate the Queen's Jubilee. They chose a Cotoneaster. This has white flowers with red berries so quite fitting.

Well 1 year on and look how well it is doing!

Our avid gardening club take great pride in our gardens and we encourage and support all residents to continue their interests and hobbies where possible.

Musical Therapy with Melanie!

Another lovely musical afternoon here at Falmouth Court with Melanie the musical therapist. Our residents really do love their visits with the talented Melanie.

Not only did Melanie serenade the residents with popular classics and their favourite tunes, but she also engaged them in interactive sessions getting everyone involved and a jolly old time was had by all joining in with various different instruments.

Gweek Silver Band

What a lovely afternoon our residents had here at Falmouth Court with a wonderful visit from Gweek Silver Band. Everyone gathered in our beautiful gardens and basked in the sun while the band played an array of wonderful Music.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the musical afternoon and it was such a treat to have the band with us.
