Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Celebrating Life

Our wonderful George has always had a passion for amateur dramatics and regularly played “the Dame” in local pantomimes.

We took George along to Hall for Cornwall to see the fantastic panto, Peter Pan he fully enjoyed the experience and loved to reminisce his own performances. We even got to meet Peter Pan himself!

A fantastic outing for all and huge thanks to the team at Hall for Cornwall who made it such an enjoyable experience including the ice cream delivery at the interval.

Miniature American Horses Visit Falmouth Court - Christmas

There was huge excitement at Falmouth Court as some Miniature American Horses came by to visit the residents and staff as a festive treat.

Staff and residents had a wonderful time learning about the very friendly horses owned by one of the homes care team Gail Brenton, finding out about their habits and what they like to eat. Several of the residents got to feed the horses some of their favourite treats.

General Manager, Haley Reeve-Larson said: “We had the best time with the horses, they are such gorgeous creatures. Our residents loved spending time with them, I do hope they come back to visit us soon.”

Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.

Trip to Princess Pavilions to see the Christmas Tree Festival

We took some of our ladies up to see the Christmas Tree Festival Princess Pavilion this week to check on Falmouth Courts Tree and see their handy work on display and to spend some time looking at all the other beautiful trees and decorations. Of course as always everyone enjoyed a hot drink and some cake in the café afterwards.
