Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Snow Day!

Snow Day!

The residents of Falmouth Court were most sad we did not get any snow down in Falmouth so we loaded them up into the mini bus and took them up the hill to see the snow. When it was safe to do so of course!

Everyone's faces were beaming to see the snow covered fields and even though this trip did not involve a stop it was very much enjoyed. Getting out and about can be tricky in the winter months but we always try to make sure our residents have that opportunity.

Dorothy's Piano Arrives at Falmouth Court

What a joyous day for Dorothy one of our residents here at Falmouth Court. Her family kindly arranged for her beloved piano to be moved from her old home in Bridlington all the way to Falmouth Court. Dorothy loves to play piano and we are so pleased she is now able to do so on her own piano when ever she likes. Musical therapy is so vital and here at Falmouth Court we loved to enable our residents to enjoy activities and hobbies they have a keen interest in.

Some very fun pictures have just arrived from our New Years Eve party here at Falmouth Court!

Our residents and staff all enjoyed at party in our beautiful Garden Lounge to see in the new year. Prosecco and nibbles were a plenty and everyone enjoyed some music and etched the fireworks at in London at midnight.

We would like to wish our local community a very happy new year.

Our last year was filled to the brim with the happiest of memories, including amazing events, special activities that brought so much joy to our residents.

We say a big thank you to everyone in our fantastic community who joined us on our journey throughout 2022, and we are excited to continue to keep sharing more of our brilliant home with you this year.

Falmouth Court Delivers Mince Pies to Community

The Great British Bake Off might be over for another year but try telling that to staff and residents at Barchester’s Falmouth Court care home, in Falmouth, who have been baking up a storm.

Falmouth Court’s residents and staff have been busy creating hundreds of mince pies to gift to the local community to say thanks to for all their support during 2022. Hugh, the Home Services Advisor has delivered batches of freshly baked mince pies to local District Nurses and hospitals for all the key workers, to enjoy.

General Manager, Alexandria Bowman said: “Christmas is a time for giving and we wanted to thank so many wonderful members of our community who give their time to support us. It is so important to give back – we hope our gifts bring lots of joy to everyone who samples them.”
