Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Decorating Falmouth Court

What a joyous afternoon our residents had decorating our magnificent tree kindly donated by William Highbourne Wealth Management. A huge thank you to them for this very kind gesture. William Highbourne Wealth Management work very closely with us to provide residents and families with advice regarding paying for care.

Everyone had a wonderful time hanging the decorations and then our activities team got everyone singing Christmas carols throughout the afternoon.

Christmas Tree Festival at Princess Pavilions

What a joyful start to the Christmas festivities at Falmouth Court with a trip out to decorate our tree at the Christmas Tree Festival at Princess Pavilions.

Twenty-seven community groups from in and around Falmouth are each decorating a tree with the theme of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ to celebrate the return of Miracle Theatre to Princess Pavilion, with their pantomime of the same name.

It took four trips each way in our minibus to get everyone there and back but it was very much worth it. Everyone loved decorating the Falmouth Court tree and viewing all of the others too. Then of course everyone enjoyed some lovely refreshments in the cafe afterwards.

World Cruise 2nd Stop Spain!

Our second World Cruise stop in Spain was a great success and enjoyed hugely by the residents of Falmouth Court. We docked and our residents their families and friends enjoyed all sorts of delicious sampling bites from Spain prepared by our very talented chef Jon. Sharon from our kitchen team dressed up for the occasion and got everyone singing along to some Spanish music too.

Hugh our Home Services Advisor had also carefully selected some Spanish wines for everyone to taste and discuss.

Then David our activities coordinator got everyone's brains working with a Spanish trivia quiz.

Watch this space for next months stop in Portugal! Why not come along and join the fun.
