Activities at Florence Court Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in the Care Sector for 5 years and started out as a Domestic and Laundry Assistant. I decided that I wanted to progress my career in an Activities capacity so became an activities provider then progressed to an Activities Co-Ordinator which I did for 2 years prior to joining the team at Florence Court . I have a real passion for Activities and get a great deal of pleasure in enriching the residents life's through meaningful activities. I love getting to know the residents and spending time with them finding out what they love to do. Every day is very different and rewarding.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Valentines Day Fun
What a lovely afternoon we had yesterday celebrating love at our Valentine's themed afternoon tea We were joined by Matt O'Neil for a wonderful performance that had everyone singing, dancing and joining in. Our residents really enjoyed getting together to have a laugh and celebrate all things love #barchestervalentines

Yesterday we enjoyed another fabulous performance from Lynn and Colin of Doorstep Entertainments. Everyone was transported back to the 1950s through song, dance and comedy and all had a fabulous afternoon reminiscing
