Activities at Forest Care Home
We have regular outings in our minibus to different places of interest including local country parks, the Tramway museum, Matlock and a number of Ice cream parlours. When we are not out on trips we are busy baking, making different craft projects, using the sensory equipment and Pet Therapy. We have entertainers who come in and get our residents up and moving.
Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Forest Care Home is fun and active. The activities at Forest Care Home are planned to be person centred and adapted to cater for everyone's abilities and all staff participate. For example one of our residents enjoys house work and everyday she assists the housekeepers to tidy around the unit.

Life at Forest Care Home
Fun & Games
Here at Forest Care Centre, we have been trying some new games, including some with our new parachute. We had lots of fun and everyone was laughing trying not to let the ball out.
Nutrition Week
In celebration of Nutrition Week, folks at Forest Care Centre have been tasting different smoothies and baking cakes. Everyone enjoyed the smoothies and have asked to make them again very soon.
Bluebird Entertainment
On the 1st December, we had Bluebird Entertainment come in and sing some Christmas songs. Ami was brilliant with the residents and got everyone up singing and dancing.
Care Home Open Day
Our Head Chef cooked up a storm for Care Home Open Day, which we had a delicious barbecue for.
