Activities at Glebefields Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Glebefields Care Home

Church Service

A blessed day we had at our gathering at Glebefields. Pastor David and friends from Banbury’s Evangelical Church joined us for a wonderful time of Easter. We explored the beautiful stories of this special time, sang joyful hymns, and said The Lord's Prayer together. Grateful for moments like these that bring us closer together in faith and fellowship. Wishing everyone a blessed Easter day.

Easter Baking Fun

Having a fun time baking and decorating Easter biscuits. We made biscuits shaped like bunnies, carrots, and eggs. They have just come out of the oven and cooled down, and now we are getting ready to decorate them. We have got some lovely pastel-coloured cream to make them special for our Easter day.

Easter Cake competition

Our amazing residents and staff at Glebefields are all buzzing with excitement as we get ready for Barchester Healthcare's Easter Cake competition. Our cake is a real treat – it's a delicious Plain Victoria sponge cake with lemon, raspberry jam, and tasty butter icing. Our lovely resident Joan has decorated our cake with Easter colours, adding her talent to make the cake amazing.

Kids Visit from Little Sparrow Childcare

Residents and staff love it when the little kids from Little Sparrows Childcare come to visit our Glebefields Care Home - Barchester Healthcare. They are so curious and happy, and it makes everyone here feel good. Doing stuff together across different ages is good for everyone. We have got some cool stuff like an old Doll's House, a robotic cat, and loads of art supplies that make our time together awesome. Thanks for being a part of the fun and bringing so much joy.

Minibus trip out

We had a lovely trip out to Bloxham Nursery and Tea Room. It is such a beautiful place to visit. The tea room, with its patio overlooking a field of lavender, is especially charming. We can only imagine how wonderful it will be in late spring and summer when the lavender blooms. Our residents had a great time enjoying freshly brewed tea and coffee along with a slice of homemade cake. There were so many delicious options to choose from it was a treat for everyone.
