Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

I started working for Barchester in October 2020. The team here at Hampton Grove have made me feel welcome. No day is ever the same here.
My varied daily activities and events help to create a stimulating engagement programme to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the home.

Life at Hampton Grove Care Home
Summer's on its way!
The weather was so lovely over the weekend so the residents took the opportunity to spend some time outside in the garden where they could enjoy the sun. We even had ice lollies!
Watering and Planning
Today we had the perfect afternoon's weather to get out into the potting shed and water our growing vegetables and take a little stroll to plan what to plant where.
Jubilee Bunting Creations
Today the residents did a workshop with the City College. We had a lovely tutor come in to teach the residents how to make beautiful bunting for the Queens Jubilee in June.
General Manager of the Month
Hampton Grove would like to congratulate our manager Krzysztof Krzysztofiak in achieving Barchester 'Manager of the Month' for April 2022.
Krzysztof said "I'm proud to be part of a great team at Hampton Grove, and to have been nominated as the Home Manager of the month, it's a great achievement. A big thank you to Margery Dino our Divisional Manager for all the support and advice, and the biggest thank you to all the staff at Hampton Grove, I couldn't do it without you."
Congratulations on 5-Star Rating
This week our staff and residents celebrated the home receiving a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating by the local authority.
The achievement is the highest rating a care home can receive from an Environmental Health officer, and shows the home has complied with all the statutory obligations; showing outstanding food hygiene standards.
General Manager, Krzysztof Krzysztofiak commented “Following the unannounced inspection, we’re extremely pleased to have been awarded 5-stars for our food hygiene. Achieving the highest possible standard is incredibly important, and I’m so proud of the Hospitality team at Hampton Grove.
The team work incredibly hard to provide our residents with irresistible cuisine, prepared with only the very best fresh, seasonal produce, and based on the individual tastes of the people we support. They are being recognised for their continued hard work in maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness standards in our kitchen.”
Food hygiene ratings are an inspection given to a food business that reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of inspection or visit by the local authority.
The ratings assess:
- How hygienically food is handled – prepared, cooked, reheated, cooled and stored.
- The cleanliness of a business, including taking into consideration layout and ventilation.
- How food records are managed.
Hampton Grove Garden Decorations
The residents of Hampton Grove are getting ready for the summer months coming. We can enjoy the garden with our newly decorated tyre planters and today, in our craft work shop we started to make and paint hand crafted flowers.
