Activities at Hampton Grove Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

I started working for Barchester in October 2020. The team here at Hampton Grove have made me feel welcome. No day is ever the same here.

My varied daily activities and events help to create a stimulating engagement programme to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the home.

New residents gift!

Here at Hampton Grove Care Home, creating a person centered environment is key to the care we provide. It’s important to us that all our residents are at the heart of what we do from the moment they step through the front door. That is why we have started our new gift initiative. For every new resident, they receive a personalised gift from our manager, Krzysztof, on their first day. Charlotte joined us recently and was greeted by Krzysztof and the rest of the team with a beautiful bunch of flowers and a special pin. Charlotte had spent much of her adult life working as a nurse in the NHS, so was given her very own nurses pin to wear with pride around the home.

Danny's Rock 'n' Roll Show

Here at Hampton Grove, we've been enjoying some fantastic entertainment. Everyone was up, singing and dancing to Danny's rock 'n' roll show. Performing classics from the 50s and 60s, residents, staff and visitors all had a great afternoon! We can't wait too welcome Danny back again soon!

Birthday Preparation!!

This weekend at Hampton Grove, we have started to get some special birthday decorations ready. Iris will be 100 years young this March, and we will be celebrating it in style.

The other residents, with help from Lauren from activities, have made the post box for all her cards to be delivered to her on her birthday.

With help from our sister, home cards have started to arrive for her.

We would like to ask you to join them by delivering a card for her. The post box will be in reception for cards to be posted. Iris will be presented with them on the day of her birthday, 7th March.

Why not come along and join us that day at 2pm, for a full packed afternoon celebrating Iris 100th birthday. We look forward to seeing you.

Celebrating Elvis' Birthday

We celebrated Elvis Presley’s birthday this week with a brilliant performance by Danny Graceland. The Elvis tribute act had all our residents, staff and guests up dancing and singing along to some of Elvis’s greatest hits, including "Can’t help falling in Love" and "Blue suede shoes".
