Activities at Hempton Field Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Nina Mullerworth

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Nina and I have had the privilege of working at Hempton Field in my role as Activities Coordinator for over 15 years and I am looking forward to many more! I have enjoyed continually developing in the role with a variety of training courses, including a Level 2 NAPA and Aromatherapy Massage.

I love interacting with the residents and organising a varied programme of activities with a person-centred approach based on Barchester's Life Enrichment Programme of enhancing the wellbeing of mind, body and soul.  This includes ensuring residents can continue to enjoy hobbies, life experiences and keep active through exercise and music.  We are involved with local clubs and welcome in members of the community as well as a variety of outings in the minibus - these are always very popular!

Together with Music

Together with Music is an intergenerational membership platform centred on connection, community and music!

The residents of Hempton Field have signed up to join this inspiring virtual network. Through music and the act of music making we enjoyed listening and playing on the gramophone, sharing memories and having a little boogie throughout the interactive session.

We’ll definitely be adding this activity to our schedule, everyone had a wonderful time.

Scrabble Championships

The competition has been hotting up, not just with the weather but between our ladies during Mable and Audrey favourite game; Scrabble! These ladies just love to test their minds on finding the longest word with the most points. They all have such fun ... no dictionary required (or allowed).

Colouring Arts

Arts & Crafts with the ladies of Hempton Field. Butterflies were the theme of the day for Elizabeth with so many visiting our sensory garden. She was thrilled to finish her plaque, it looks so beautiful, as though they were fluttering off the canvas.

Beautiful Flower Arranging

The residents at Hempton Field fancied showing off their creative skills with flower arranging today. Just look at how well they cut and selected each rose bloom to make up these beautiful table displays. The scent throughout the home was simply delightful. Thank you ladies.

Scatter Cards & Musical Bingo!

The Hempton Field residents love taxing their brains. With the sun shining we took to the garden for a game of scatter matching fun. As the weather changed, the team moved into the dining hall for musical bingo!

Come rain or shine our residents will always find a way to join together and play.

Pom-pom exercise fun!

A little light exercise to start the morning off! Pom-pom shaking to our residents favourite tunes is a perfect way to wake the group for the day ahead.
