Activities at Hethersett Hall Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities, hobbies and interests make up the most important part of our days and who we are as people. We provide a varied activities programme that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the individuals we support. All of the group and individual activities are designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for, but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth. We achieve this through a constantly updated activities programme and one-to-one sessions with residents that are tailored to suit individuals needs. We also offer a range of outings in our mini-bus.

Caroline Evans
Hi, I’m Caroline Evans and I’ve been at Hethersett Hall for 7 years now and been in the care sector for 13 years and believed it was time for a change in my career at Barchester.
I’m extremely motivated for my new role as activities coordinator. I hope I will bring joy and fun to everyone’s daily lives. I am a highly active and bubbly person. Looking after other people has always been my priority and I will do my best every day to make sure everyone is happy, safe and smiling.
I look forward to meeting you and hope you will all join in the events and activities that I will bring to Hethersett Hall.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Hethersett Hall Care Home

A Cracking Christmas
At Hethersett Hall that's what we like to do - create memories, and ensure our residents are leading full enriched lives.
Our Residents have a festive fun packed December full of many different Lifestyle enrichment activities. Already this week they have enjoyed an evening with the Dennis Light Orchestra followed by a visit from Stella School of Dance. Smiles and laughter were abundant with the odd tipple and mince pie to get everyone truly in the Christmas spirit.
At Hethersett Hall we love opening our home up and hosting events that friends and family can join us for.

Annual Art Exhibition
At Hethersett Hall we know that being able to continue lifelong hobbies or interests is a key part of our resident's identities, and we make every effort to encourage and support each resident to be able to do so.
Every Tuesday at Hethersett Hall we have our wonderful Art class ran by the fantastic Juli Mobbs and every year in November we hold our annual art exhibition. We display pieces of artwork created by our residents and put them up for sale. This year the residents chose to donate all money raised to Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity.
At Hethersett Hall we love hosting events that we can open up to our relatives, friends and the wider community. Life at Hethersett Hall is about being part of the local community and enjoying life long hobbies whilst also exploring new experiences.

Spectacular with a Bang
At Hethersett Hall we love opening our home up and hosting events that friends and family can join us for. Shared experiences are the best experiences and we ensure that our residents remain connected with their loved ones whilst they live with us.
It was a very busy Bonfire night again at Hethersett Hall and thanks to everyone who joined us from the Local community to help our Residents and Family's enjoy a spectacular evening that finished with a Bang.

An Historic trip.
Supporting residents to enjoy outings, shopping, meals out and other trips is a key aspect of the weekly activities calendar.
Our Residents enjoyed a Historic trip to Wymondham Abbey which is one of the grandest buildings in East Anglia with a famous gilded Alter. After trip we enjoyed a quick trip to a local café for hot chocolate and coffee.
At Hethersett Hall we support and encourage our residents to continue doing the things they love whilst also making new friends and exploring new adventures.

Happy Halloween
National celebrations and family-friendly events are just some of the ways that we ensure the residents at Hethersett Hall remain connected with their loved ones and the wider community.
Our Halloween party focused on fantastic fancy dress and live entertainment which catered for all ages. The BOOO Lagoon cocktails and sumptuous Halloween snacks prepared by our chef went down a trick or treat.
Our Activities Team is dedicated to ensuring that we organise events that encourage our residents to host their families and friends at Hethersett Hall. Our home is always to open to loved ones who wish to take part in our life enrichment program.

My Little pony
Residents at Hethersett Hall love all the animal therapy sessions that our dedicated Activities Team organise as part of our monthly activities program. As one of the foundations of our Life Enrichment program, we know that animal therapy can help reduce blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health.
Merrylegs Ponies visited our residents at the Home last week and even provided some personal room service. The ponies were so well behaved and their visit opened up stories and brought back many fun memories for our residents.
Animal therapy is one of the cornerstones of our life enrichment program and features regularly on our resident-led weekly activity planner.
