Activities at Hethersett Hall Care Home
Activities, hobbies and interests make up the most important part of our days and who we are as people. We provide a varied activities programme that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the individuals we support. All of the group and individual activities are designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for, but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth. We achieve this through a constantly updated activities programme and one-to-one sessions with residents that are tailored to suit individuals needs. We also offer a range of outings in our mini-bus.
Caroline Evans
Hi, I’m Caroline Evans and I’ve been at Hethersett Hall for 7 years now and been in the care sector for 13 years and believed it was time for a change in my career at Barchester.
I’m extremely motivated for my new role as activities coordinator. I hope I will bring joy and fun to everyone’s daily lives. I am a highly active and bubbly person. Looking after other people has always been my priority and I will do my best every day to make sure everyone is happy, safe and smiling.
I look forward to meeting you and hope you will all join in the events and activities that I will bring to Hethersett Hall.

Life at Hethersett Hall Care Home
Care Home Open Day
Here at Hethersett Hall, we had an absolutely amazing Open Day. Residents, guests, staff, loved ones and friends all came along and enjoyed an outstanding day of fun, which included local farm animals, face painting, a country and western singer, an ice cream van and a range of other fun activities.
We had a raffle with some great prizes and we even raised funds for Barchester's Charitable Foundation with a ‘Guess how many sweets are in the jar’ competition. The winner kindly donated all the sweets for the residents to share.
It really was a special day and we look forward to hosting many more like this in the future!
A Special Day
Resident, Audrey, spends most of her time in bed, but on 12th May, we all worked together to make it possible for her to go into the garden to see the beautiful flowers that her husband Alan - who lives at Hethersett too - and her daughter, Jane, had planted together. It was a very special moment for the whole family and we managed to capture the memory in this lovely photograph.
Drinks & Nibbles
Here at Hethersett Hall, residents have a weekly get-together every Friday night - we like to call it ‘Drinks & Nibbles’. It’s an opportunity for them to socialise, get to know each other and have a catch up about the weekly events.
On the Friday, residents choose a movie to watch as a group and they all meet in our TV lounge at around 6:30pm. Staff are also there to assist with serving a selection of drinks & nibbles.
As with everything we do here at Hethersett Hall, our doors are always open for relatives, friends and loved ones, and you are all more than welcome to come and join us!
Twinkle Toes at Hethersett
Resident, Patricia, can’t help but move her dancing feet! Here at Hethersett Hall, we really promote and encourage exercise and movement in all forms. We have recently started regular Zumba Gold classes and the residents love it. It really is fun and a great way to get people moving.
Sports in the Garden
Resident, Hilary, brushes up on her rugby skills in the garden as the summer approaches!
Raffle at Hethersett
A very big thank you to all residents, relatives and staff who took part in the annual Easter raffle. It was a fantastic turnout and everyone was very egg-cited to win our egg-cellent prizes.
