Activities at Hethersett Hall Care Home

Activities, hobbies and interests make up the most important part of our days and who we are as people. We provide a varied activities programme that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the individuals we support. All of the group and individual activities are designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for, but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth. We achieve this through a constantly updated activities programme and one-to-one sessions with residents that are tailored to suit individuals needs. We also offer a range of outings in our mini-bus.

Hi, I’m Caroline Evans and I’ve been at Hethersett Hall for 7 years now and been in the care sector for 13 years and believed it was time for a change in my career at Barchester.

I’m extremely motivated for my new role as activities coordinator. I hope I will bring joy and fun to everyone’s daily lives. I am a highly active and bubbly person. Looking after other people has always been my priority and I will do my best every day to make sure everyone is happy, safe and smiling.

Life at Hethersett Hall Care Home

Happy 100 years young!!

Celebrations have been in full swing at Hethersett Hall, as one of its residents reaches her centenary in style.Julian was joined by staff, relatives, friends and other residents as she received a telegram from the King in recognition of her landmark birthday.  It was a full day of celebrations, with the morning starting by taking a trip to her local church with one of the birthday cakes, yes there were multiple cakes!, to begin the day with a birthday cake ,coffee and chat with Julian’s Church and Methodist friends. Afterwards back to Hethersett Hall for more cake and champers!!

Visit to see the Coronation themed flower arrangements

We took a couple of our green fingered residents to see the fabulous arrangement of Coronation themed flowers at our local church St Remigius made by volunteers in Hethersett.

There were some amazing displays, including Buckingham Palace and Balmoral.  Here we are standing in the Highgrove garden arrangement.

Afterwards we had a sit down with a cup of tea and perused the amazing selection of homemade cakes on display which obviously we had to taste.

A Right Royal Bash!!

Our residents had a right royal knees up over the weekend as we celebrated the 1st Coronation in 70years!

We drank themed cocktails  (King Charles was the favourite of course), waved flags and hankies as the King and Queen were crowned and the parades marched past on tv.

Wendys Birthday Bash!!

We celebrated Wendy's birthday today with the wonderful entertainer Deano and his pat dog in training Millie. Wendy loved the cuddles from Millie and Deano. Then we all tucked into a fabulous birthday cake. Happy birthday Wendy.

Barbers are in the Hall

The gentleman at Hethersett Hall had a fabulous treat come in today. We had the mobile barbers join us for a proper wet shave. Gents looked rather dapper when done.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

What a great day we had celebrating St Patricks with our wonderful residents!

Staff made an amazing effort with their costumes, one of our fantastic carers Shannon even made t – shirts for her team with everyones name on, brilliant!

Our Head Chef Becky and her kitchen team made traditional Irish food for lunch and dinner as well as sweet treats throughout the day.

In the afternoon Mulligans Stew entertained our residents with great Irish songs while we served drinks including Guiness (of course) and Mini Guiness’s too.

A true irish knees up was had by all, Happy St Paddys Day everyone!
