Activities at Hilderstone Hall Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are, first and foremost, devoted to each and every resident in the home, and strive to ensure that their interests, hobbies, capabilities and individual requests are met to the highest standard. This could include one-to-one chats, hand massages, reading, music therapy, flower arranging, movement to music, arts & crafts, gardening and baking. We also have regular fun, adventurous and stimulating trips, where we encourage families and loved ones to join us. We have close links with the Alzheimer's Society, the local primary school, and Trinity Skills who come to sing with residents. All the staff at Hilderstone Hall participate in activities with residents, offering encouragement, stimulation and interaction for everyone involved, providing the most fulfilling experience possible.

Ellie Robinson
Hi, my name is Ellie and I am the Activities Co-ordinator here at Hilderstone Hall.
I joined the team in November 2024 having previously worked in hospitality and event planning. I am not new to working in healthcare - earlier in my career I trained and worked as a Care Assistant and obtained my NVQ Level 2 and Higher Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
I bring bags of energy and enthusiasm and I enjoy spending time with Residents, getting to know them individually, their personalities, likes and dislikes. Ultimately, this enables me to plan and deliver a tailored activities programme to suit their wants and needs.
I am also a qualified florist, which supports the creativity involved in the role and I can inspire Residents to participate in regular and new activities and events.
Outside of work, I am a Mum to my young Son, which keeps me busy! In my spare time my family and I enjoy getting out in the the fresh air for walks and there is usually a coffee and cake stop too!
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Hilderstone Hall Care Home

Preparing the Spring bulbs
The residents here at Hilderstone Hall have been taking part in a spot of bulb planting under the guidance of one of our new green fingered residents. Maureen kindly donated Hyacinth & mixed miniature daffodil bulbs along with the fertiliser.
We shall look forward to watching them bloom!

Musical moments with Anna
Once a month we enjoy a visit from one of the homes firm favourites - Anna from Musical Moments. Anna has been providing Hilderstone Halls residents with dance, music and uplifting activities for some time now as part of our life enrichment programme. This is a popular group session and always attracts a large crowd!

Pamper afternoon
We had a lovely afternoon at Hilderstone Hall on Saturday 16th sept. Thanks to Kat the clinical nurse who came in on her day off to provide the residents with an afternoon of pampering including facials, nail painting and makeup tutorials, leaving the residents looking and feeling truly refreshed.
The residents mental and physical wellbeing is crucial here at Hilderstone and providing relaxation and pamper afternoons is one way to enhance and promote this with them.

Floor games
Keeping active, having social interactions and being mentally stimulated is very important to Residents at Hilderstone Hall. As part of our life enrichment programme we ensure the residents have access to as well as partake in planned floor and table games when possible.

Wimbledon
We have been celebrating in true Wimbledon style here at Hilderstone Hall with bubbly, strawberries & clotted cream, as the tennis came to an end. The residents have enjoyed watching the tennis together daily in our beautiful main lounge as well as participating in Wimbledon inspired quizzes & puzzles throughout the month put together by our very enthusiastic activities team.

Blythe Bridge High School
Students from blythe bridge high school hosted a floral art class here at Hilderstone this week which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who participated. Both residents and students gain so many significant benefits from this time engaging in each other’s company and sharing skills which makes these visits and workshops so crucial to the wellbeing and life enrichment of our residents.
