Activities at Hunters Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Ben Sandall

Activities Coordinator

Hello I am Ben and I am the Activities Coordinator at Hunters.  I started working at Hunters as part of the hospitality team, but when a vacancy came up on the activities team I jumped at the opportunity.  I have seen how important a varied activities programme is and the team ensure we offer something for everyone including regular past times.

Hunters' Residents Attend Bibury School's Easter Service

It was beautiful sunny day for residents to attend the Bibury Church of England Primary School service.  The children presented their beautiful pictures and they spoke so very well as they shared the Easter story.  The Easter Bunny even popped by, greeting the children and residents with chocolate eggs.  Thank you for inviting us to such a wonderful service.

Hunters go Back to the 1960s

It was an amazing 1960's day at Hunters.  It took us all back to flower power, miniskirts and a decade of great social changes not forgetting the fabulous music.  Everyone greatly enjoyed live entertainment from Lula May and it was such fun with many dressing up with a 1960s theme.

Sunny Walk Around the Woodland Trail

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon at Hunters and residents Gwen and Jean enjoyed a walk around the woodland trail and then all around the gardens with Ali from the activities team. The grounds are looking beautiful with spring flowers and blossom on the trees.

Hunters celebrated St David's Day with daffodils all round, creating our own and decorating the home.  We all said it was the first sign of spring, warmer weather and longer days.
