Activities at Hunters Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Ben Sandall
Hello I am Ben and I am the Activities Coordinator at Hunters. I started working at Hunters as part of the hospitality team, but when a vacancy came up on the activities team I jumped at the opportunity. I have seen how important a varied activities programme is and the team ensure we offer something for everyone including regular past times.

Pancake Flipping!
Everyone joined in the pancake flipping at Hunters for Shrove Tuesday and it was such a laugh! We also greatly enjoyed eating them as well!
Happy Valentine's Day
Hunters had a great day celebrating Valentine's Day with a difference, we had a country and western theme. The activities team decorated the dining room beautifully, and there was a special lunch enjoyed by all the residents. We were delighted to welcome back Donna whose songs got us all dancing and toe tapping. There was a packed house and it was a full fun packed day.
Valentine Crafts
Hunter's residents had a afternoon full of glitter as they made decorations for the Valentine celebration event.
Dinky Ponies Welcomed Back to Hunters
Hunters were delighted to welcome back Dinky Ponies. Horses are the most intuitive of animals and these gorgeous ponies are truely amazing with our residents. Everyone loved having them visit their rooms as well as our lounges.
Personal Card from King Charles III
Hunters residents wrote to HRH King Charles sending our condolences when HRH Queen Elizabeth died and we have received such a wonderful card with heart felt words. We all loved the picture he had selected and everyone was very touched he took the time to respond to us.
