Activities at Iddenshall Hall Care Home
Activities here at Iddenshall Hall are an integral part of every day life for each of our residents. We strive to include as many of our residents as possible with the activities schedule. Our Schedule is released monthly and includes activities such as poetry afternoons, indoor games, Bingo, flower arranging, pamper days, quizzes, exercises, various musicians and entertainers, Pat Dog Visits, Music Therapy, discussion groups and trips out in our minibus to local places of interest and further afield to see the Blackpool Lights or to Knowsley Safari Park.
We are constantly asking the people who live in our home which events they would like to see taking place and we endeavor to fulfill these requests. Our aim is to provide a varied and packed schedule which allows for a vast array of skill bases and capabilities. We are in constant contact with local groups and businesses, the local Beaver Scout group are always happy to pay a visit to our home, helping with the garden or coming at Christmas to sing carols for us. We also have a small group of volunteers to help us, including pupils from our local 6th form College who visit once a week.
All the above helps ensure the lives of our Residents are fun and fulfilled.

Life at Iddenshall Hall Care Home
Summer Garden Concert
We had a spectacular afternoon of musical concert in our garden by the local band "Tarporley Ukulele Band".
Residents, families, staff and some residents of Beeston view joined in this summer celebration. Previously we made our own bunting and garland to decorate the place and prepared jugs with the traditional Primm’s cocktail, appetizers, etc. The band members also shared with the residents after the concert. It was really a great celebration that everyone enjoyed very much.
Balloon Fiesta
From August 10th-13th it was the International Balloon Fiesta which is held annually.
The residents at Iddenshall Hall held their own balloon event which included decorating balloons, making a balloon garland to decorate their home and holding a balloon competition.
The balloon competition was so much fun and caused lots of laughter as the residents were split into teams and had to blow up balloons to fill a bag as quickly as possible.
There were balloons everywhere!
Making Fairy Cakes
The residents enjoyed a cooking session making cupcakes and decorating them with fairy and butterfly wings, thinking about the flowering shrub that we have outside our conservatory that residents like to look at them. Everyone tasted the delicious winged cakes.
Celebrating International Beer Day
We celebrated the day of beer in our own Bar-Pub that we created. The fun began with all the previous preparations and today was the maximum diversion, with toasts, snacks, games, music and quiz, all was a complement to complete and have a good time this Friday of beer.
‘Herstory’ of Mayfair
Residents across our services had a fantastic time joining Mandy Morrow for a virtual walking tour to learn about the ‘Herstory’ of Mayfair. The Mayfair of Nightingales may be long gone but it still holds a 20th century charm. Birthplace to the late Queen Elizabeth II, home to one of WWII's most decorated female war heroes and a tale of a wealthy Aristocrat and one of France's favourite designers.
We were delighted to take a walk down memory lane and discover stories from one of London's most iconic areas. The experience was truly enjoyed by all.
Music & movement class from staff
Some members of our staff, performed for the residents a session with exercises and dance and popular music from the 80's and with wear dance clothes highlighter.
It was really incredible how everyone enjoyed it, residents, staff and some relatives.
