Activities at Iris Court Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Iris Court Food Bank Donation
Iris Court have been working alongside local charity, People for People with all donations going to the Food Shed, kind-hearted residents, families and staff from Iris Court Care Home had help to coordinate a Reverse Advent Calendar, a collection of food items, toys, decorations and toiletries to donate to the local food bank for members of the community who are struggling this Christmas. The idea behind the Reverse Advent Calendar is that the collection focuses on different types of products each day so that all the essentials’ people might need are covered.
At the end of the reverse advent calendar we proudly took our donations to The Food Shed in Stevenage which work tirelessly throughout the year, but even more so during December to ensure all donations are given out to those who need in time for Christmas.
Staff at Iris Court have said "Everyone at Iris Court is very much aware that lots of people are finding it difficult to feed themselves and their families this year and we all wanted to help in whatever way we can. We wanted to collect as much food and other useful products as possible to help those less fortunate than ourselves so it’s wonderful to see how amazingly generous everyone has been”
A Huge thank you to all those who donated for The Food Shed and we cant wait to support again next year with anything we can help with.
