Activities at Iris Court Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Natalie Robinson

Activities co-ordinator, Wellbeing Champion

Hello, I'm Natalie, and for nearly five enriching years, I've dedicated myself to the role of an activity coordinator. My passion lies in understanding the unique interests of each individual under our care. At Iris Court, I strive to craft activities tailored to the preferences of our residents, ensuring no one ever feels socially isolated. Whether someone wants to participate minimally or fully immerse themselves, my goal remains constant: fostering a sense of community and joy in every moment.

Join me as we embark on this journey of connection, laughter, and shared experiences. Together, let's create cherished memories that will illuminate the path ahead. Welcome to Iris Court, where every day holds the promise of something special.

Life at Iris Court Care Home

The History Of Cadbury

This week we have enjoyed a behind the scenes look into the history of Cadbury. This fascinating insight into one of the nation's most famous and beloved companies.

Cadbury was kind enough to send us samples of chocolates and packaging from throughout their history - our residents were delighted to explore the memories of these traditional paper wrapped chocs and how the marketing has changed over the years.

Still a glass and a half of milk in each though!

Having Fun whilst training

The new team at Iris Court have been really getting stuck in to their training over the past 3 weeks and just have one more week to go. As a bit of a wind down the team had a fun activity at the end of the week to unwind from all the great sessions they had completed. Our trainers Sadie and Kieran have said that the team have been fantastic over the past 3 weeks, really engaging with all of the sessions and getting involved. The team can not wait for the first arrivals from the end of the month where they can put all of their new learnings in to use and provide our wonderful person centred care culture. Well done all!!!
