Activities at Iris Court Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Natalie Robinson

Activities co-ordinator, Wellbeing Champion

Hello, I'm Natalie, and for nearly five enriching years, I've dedicated myself to the role of an activity coordinator. My passion lies in understanding the unique interests of each individual under our care. At Iris Court, I strive to craft activities tailored to the preferences of our residents, ensuring no one ever feels socially isolated. Whether someone wants to participate minimally or fully immerse themselves, my goal remains constant: fostering a sense of community and joy in every moment.

Join me as we embark on this journey of connection, laughter, and shared experiences. Together, let's create cherished memories that will illuminate the path ahead. Welcome to Iris Court, where every day holds the promise of something special.

Birthday Celebrations for Denzilin

Iris Court have been celebrating a very special birthday for a lovely lady today!.

Welcoming 80 years with style we had a party this afternoon with plenty of music, dancing and of course Prosecco!.

At Iris Court we celebrate birthdays not just as a mark of ageing another year, but as a mark of celebrations of life, achievements and personal growth. It is a time of reflection, gratitude and looking forward to future possibilities. Birthdays provide a special opportunity for us to help residents gather with loved ones and create lasting memories.

Iris Courts Summer Fete Fun!

Iris Court had a fabulous weekend celebrating with our summer fete, residents, relatives and staff all had a fantastic day spending the afternoon together, enjoying a performance from Oliver thomson who made sure everyone was up dancing, browsing the stalls in attendance and enjoying a delicious BBQ.

At Iris Court we love hosting events that we can open up to our relatives, friends and the wider community. Life at our home is about being part of the local community and enjoying life long hobbies whilst also exploring new experiences.

Movement is Medicine

At Iris Court we know the importance of movement being key, in keeping ourselves healthy, maintaining our mobility and independence and also for keeping our mental health positive. Our latest class we have introduced is Joyce Thornton with her 45 minute Movement is Medicine class, which can either be attended sitting down, standing up, and it will guarantee lots of fun moving to some toe tapping music throughout.
