Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hello, I'm Natalie, and for nearly five enriching years, I've dedicated myself to the role of an activity coordinator. My passion lies in understanding the unique interests of each individual under our care. At Iris Court, I strive to craft activities tailored to the preferences of our residents, ensuring no one ever feels socially isolated. Whether someone wants to participate minimally or fully immerse themselves, my goal remains constant: fostering a sense of community and joy in every moment.

Babu's Birthday Celebrations
Staff and Residents celebrated a special birthday for our General Manager Babu this week, it was lovely celebrating with new friends and showing our appreciation for Babu on his special day, as well an enjoying a delicious cake!.
Iris Court Open Day
Iris Court had a fabulous day celebrating our open day with our amazing residents/ families and community visiting us for the day.
Thank you to all those who came to join for the day, we are extremely grateful for your support and look foward to our next open day in September!.
Safari Stu's Animal Party
We had an incredible visit at Iris Court today with Safari Stu and his Safari pets visiting us for the morning, from a tortoise to a 7ft Boa. We had a fabulous morning discovering more about them with our lovely residents and families joining us.
A Visit from the Fire Brigade
The wonderful crew from Hitchin fire station came to visit us on this wet Wednesday. They had a lovely tour of the home and was kind enough to let the staff fulfil childhood dreams of sitting in the fire engine.
Out To The Garden Centre In The Sunshine
A morning at the beautiful Vanstones Garden Centre had us out exploring this morning. We paused the shopping to grab a cup of coffee and some delicious cake before stocking up on supplies for our gardening club. The glorious weather had residents saying we picked the perfect day.

Fabulous Entertainment
Friday saw us being entertained by the Fabulous 3 Company who had us singing and dancing along! The weekend was filled with pampering and boules in the garden.
