Activities at Kenwyn Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Kenwyn Care Home
Our Salon is Open!
Kenwyn has re-opened its hair salon, leaving lots of our residents smiling. The salon has been closed due to the pandemic, but fortunately, activities assistant and professional hair dresser, Bethany Mill, has been working on making all of our residents look fantastic.
We are very lucky to have her as a multi-skilled member of the team and has been a great addition to have here at Kenwyn. All of our residents have been extremely pleased with her skills and have found new confidence in themselves once again.
Superfight
We watched the classic 1996 fight between two boxing legends. Tyson vs Holyfield was billed a "finally" for the MBA Heavyweight Championship title. We enjoyed the fight and watching former undisputed Cruiserweight champion Holyfield become a two weight world champion as he defeated Tyson by 11th round TKO.
Live Entertainment
Kenwyn welcomed back their first live entertainment following, with singer Ruth Dymond joining us for an afternoon of live music.
Wimbledon Celebrations
To celebrate the gentlemen's final at Wimbledon between Serbia's, Novak Djokovic, and Italy's, Matteo Berrettini, our residents were treated to strawberries and cream with a glass of Champagne or Prosecco to either enjoy in one of our TV Lounges or from the comfort of their own room.
Painting Club
Residents enjoyed our new Painting Club. Each week has a different theme and most recently the theme was transportation, which saw various creations, including vintage cars, trains and even a bus!
Flower Pressing
Here at Kenwyn, our residents enjoyed pressing various flowers we found in our garden, working as a team to pick and press a wide variety of plants.
