Activities at Kingfisher Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
George Tantrum
Hi, I am George and I am the Activities Lead here at Kingfisher Lodge. I have worked in healthcare for over 6 years and I have a passion for enriching the lives of the people in our home. We offer a wide variety of life enrichment activities within our home, from minibus trips and group outings all the way to spending some one on one time with our residents. If you pop into the home, the chances is you’ll find me, so come say hello!
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Kingfisher Lodge Care Home
Carol Service
We were lucky enough to have the Saltford Brownies here at Kingfisher to sing Christmas Carols with us – and, of course, we all wore Christmas hats to mark the occasion.
Christmas Flower Arranging
We prepared for our Christmas Fête by making loads of flower arrangements for the day. We had Christmas music on and plenty of mince pies to keep our energy levels up.
Great British Care Awards 2018
The team at Kingfisher have been recognised for their hard work and dedication by being invited to the Great British Care Awards Gala evening with 3 members of staff who were nominated for awards.
Remembrance Day
At Kingfisher, we remembered all those who lost their lives making arts and crafts and taking the 2 minutes silence to reflect on the past and where we are now.
Piano Fun
Resident, Eric, used to teach children to pay the piano, so we invited in St John's Toddler Group for the afternoon for him to perform and teach them how to play!
Halloween
We had a big cauldron in reception ready for the local children to come in and pick out a trick or treat.
