Activities at Lancaster Grange Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Lancaster Grange Care Home
Fine German Dining
We enjoyed delicious German cuisine, fine wine, and plenty of German talk.
Around the World
Welcome aboard LG-175 Liberty Liner. Each week for 12 weeks, we will be docking at a different country. We will be spending our first week in Germany; throughout the week we will be dining at the captain's table enjoying German cuisine prepared by our chief, and indulging in some German baking, as well as learning the langue with the help of Maria, our German resident.
Remembrance Day
We held a beautiful service here on remembrance day, we welcomed visitors from the RAF Balderton branch and RAF Syerston, Nigel Branston took the service where we sang hymns, piano was played by our resident ambassador Mo, we spent moments remembering and saying a prayer, Paul from RAf syerston laid a wreath of commemoration outside on our monument in the grounds.
We ended the afternoon by enjoying tea and cakes in our coffee shop where our guest spent time with our residents reminiscing of there times in the forces.
Pennell's Garden Centre
We had a lovely trip recently to Pennell's Garden centre in Lincoln. This was our first taste of the Christmas spirit for us. We met families and volunteers there, and we picked up some lovely items from the works for our crafting sessions. We finished off with tea and scones in the restaurant.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
We held a lovely Macmillan Coffee Morning recently at the home. Our guests from the Raf Syerston, Newark community first aid, the guide dogs were all engaging with our residents we raised £117.20.
Thank you to everybody who contributed cakes for the event, we had a great morning and some fabulous cakes donated.
