Activities at Latimer Court Care Home

We just wanted to say a special and HUGE thank you to all our staff at Latimer Court.  They continue to come to work daily and care for the residents, love and support them, even when we know some have their own difficulties with coping with the pandemic.  These are just a few of our staff - we couldn't put them all on but we do appreciate each and every single one of them .  Thank you  

Staff and residents at Barchester’s care home in Worcester were delighted to be invited to have the vaccination at the Care Home which has lifted everyone’s spirits after what has been a very challenging year for everyone.

Well done Barry for a very well deserved "Employee of the Month".  Barry is a real asset to Latimer Court with his nursing experience and his jovial personality.  Our residents love Barry.  

Every Monday at 2pm we have Knit & Knatter and a cheeky sherry ...

The residents love to knit and knatter with each other and the staff. 

Lets hope we don't drop a stitch or two after a sherry.  

The staff of Latimer Court received their Covid Vaccines at The Alexander Hospital in Redditch.

They welcomed the Vaccine and said that this was the start of them getting back to normality.

Well done everyone we are very proud of everyone.  

 

The residents and staff at Latimer Court have been overwhelmed by the local community’s response to their Christmas Card Design Compeition with entries totalling over 200!   It has been an absolute pleasure for our residents to view each one.   Our General Manager; Kerry Hill said “we couldn’t believe how creative and talented the young people of Worcester are, every entry put a smile on our faces and helped brighten the day. It has been extremely difficult for our residents to find the winners in such a selection of amazing artworks. We have decided to leave the boards up around the home as they are all winners in our eyes”.   Bulk entries were received from Suckley School, Perdiswell School, Northwick Manor, Redhill Primary School and Broad Heath Primary.   Our 2nd Prize a £10 voucher went to the ‘Kittens’ design, 3rd Prize, £5 Voucher to the Christmas Tree (Hand) and our overall winner has been announced as ‘Erin Joels-Peay’ from Perdiswell School who will have her design brought to life as the homes’ Official 2020 Christmas Card and receive a £20 Voucher.   We cannot thank the local community enough for their participation it has been a wonderful start to the Christmas festivities; knowing so many care, and recognise the power of intergenerational contact with our residents. We look forward to the time when we can invite the children into our home once again. Until that time, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas from all at Latimer Court.
