Activities at Marnel Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have worked with the elderly for more than forty years in various roles, gaining varied knowledge and experience. I have been a relative at Marnel Lodge for ten years and worked as an admin assistant for a year and a half. I have now taken on the exciting role of Activities Coordinator at Marnel Lodge and I am looking forward to working with the residents, families and the Marnel team to start some new activities and adventures.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Marnel Lodge Care Home
CQC Celebration
Marnel Family was celebrating a GOOD result after passing a recent CQC inspection. Everyone enjoyed a party and team members received £100 vouchers in appreciation of their hard work.
Cards for the Children
Residents decided to make something different this year; they created big Christmas cards for all children at the local school. Well done to everyone who took part.
Plumbing Course Award
Our lovely resident Brian, who used to be world class engineer, completed a plumbing course with our Maintenance team. Well done Brian!
Great British Arts & Crafts
Lots of fun ideas made our Great British Arts & Crafts Day very enjoyable!
Halloween Celebrations
Everyone had lots of fun celebrating Halloween here at Marnel.
