Activities at Melbourn Springs Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is a major focus of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat will always be welcomed.

Life at Melbourn Springs Care Home

Graham and John entertain the residents
Live entertainment made a welcome return to Melbourn Springs this week courtesy of the excellent Graham and John.
The residents were singing along and foot-tapping throughout the afternoon to a brilliant mixture of old-time classics mixed with some more modern day music. Graham and John certainly know what our residents want to hear and do absolutely everything to ensure that nobody is left disappointed.
We cannot wait to welcome them back to the home again very soon.

Happy Birthday Lawrence
At Melbourn Springs we celebrate birthdays not just as a mark of ageing another year but as a celebration of life, achievements, and personal growth. Birthdays provide a special opportunity for us to help residents to gather with loved ones and create lasting memories.
We hope you had an amazing day Lawrence!!!

Holy Communion with Reverend Sue
The residents have enjoyed their monthly Holy Communion morning at Melbourn Springs with Reverend Sue.
This is a very important morning for our residents that wish to continue practising their religious beliefs and they always have a wonderful time.
Thank you so much Sue, we are already looking forward to seeing you next month.

Tea and Cake at Bury Lane
When we ask our residents what their favourite trips out are they often mention how much they thoroughly enjoy the trips to Bury Lane Garden Centre.
With this in mind we simply had to return to Bury Lane for a leisurely look around at all the beautiful items they have for sale followed by a chat over a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
Making sure that our residents get to enjoy what they want to do and not what we think they will enjoy is paramount to a happy lifestyle at Melbourn Springs.

Dementia Coffee Morning with friends
There was entertainment courtesy of Graham and John who were playing guitars and singing. This was followed by a competitive and light-hearted quiz before we all finished by making some very special Valentines Day cards. We love these coffee morning and cannot wait to see our friends again next month.

Creature Comforts
Stu is also excellent with the residents and spends time with all of the residents, giving them an in-depth description of each of the animals. These are always some of our favourite activities and we very much look forward to welcoming Stu and the animals back to Melbourn Springs very soon.
