Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Moors Manor Care Home
Helpful Hounds donation
We welcomed Peter, along with Raffi and Hopi to the home to present them with a cheque for £250 raised by the staff and residents here. We love having the dogs visit and they love us.
Community Jubilee Fair
We took some residents over to St Leonards Village Hall for their Jubilee Fair - it was a lovely afternoon and prompting lots of reminiscing about past fairs our residents had been to.

We had a lovely afternoon for our Jubilee Party - we had music, food, quiz and some lovely conversations in our beautiful garden
Posie Making
We had a lovely afternoon setting up our jubilee celebrations with making some posies for the tables at tomorrows party
Music and Exercise
We welcomed Malcolm down to the home this week for chair exercises and music - everyone had a great workout and enjoyed a dance as well!
Bopathon and Cake Sale
Supporting Dementia Action week this week, we celebrated the morning with a "Bopathon" - the lovely Caroline Pugh from Creating Musical Participation came along and we all joined in the cafe for sing and dance - we were even joined by Her Majesty!

Summer Fair
Come and join us for our Summer Fair where we will have entertainment, stalls and refreshments for you to enjoy.
Cheese and Prosecco Afternoon
Join us for a great social afternoon and sample delicious cheese and nibbles over a glass of fizz.
