Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Flower Arranging
The lovely toddlers from our weekly parent and toddler group did some flower arranging and gifted their wonderful creations to the home
Music Fun
Music helps our residents, in so many ways! Getting moving and connecting with the music they love! Our team are fantastic and always get in the spirit too! Well done team!
National Cheese and Wine Day
We celebrated National Cheese and Wine day with an afternoon party in the Bistro.
Residents joined together to taste cheeses from around the world!
Pimms in the Garden
What's better than enjoying Pimms and Strawberries in the garden on a beautiful sunny day.
We had a lovely sing-a-long and chatted about the upcoming Wimbledon matches
Ice creams
We arranged for an Ice cream van to come down to the home today - residents, staff, the local businesses and our lovely toddler group all enjoyed some sweet treats to cool us down!
Garden Quiz
Such beautiful weather we opted for a quiz in the garden in the morning before the sun was too hot. It was a lovely morning and we all learnt some interesting facts thanks to Sam's quiz.
