Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.

I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.

When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.

I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

West Moors Community Cafe

Our monthly West Moors Community Cafe was great fun this morning, especially as it was like being in the forest at St Martins URC, West Moors.

Cheese and Wine Evening

Moors Manor care home was delighted to host the Cheese and Wine evening for our friends from Ringwood & District Twinning Association.

There was plenty of delicious cheese and heart-full conversations.

Music and Movement

The residents are enjoying their weekly music and movement classes.

Thank you Brockenhurst college students for choosing Moors Manor for your Health and Social Care qualifications placements. Residents and staff love having you in our care home, so lovely seeing intergenerational conversations flowing. 

Special Guest from Gabriel's Book Cove

Moors Manor had a special guest Sami-Jo Emsley from Gabriel’s Book Cove Usborne Books with variety of amazing books for residents as well as our little visitors on Fridays.

Fireworks Party

Residents and the local community thoroughly enjoyed the fireworks display, along with delicious food - prepared by our chefs. Hot dogs or chilli jacket potatoes anyone?

Come and join us for our Summer Fair where we will have entertainment, stalls and refreshments for you to enjoy.

Cheese and Prosecco Afternoon

Join us for a great social afternoon and sample delicious cheese and nibbles over a glass of fizz.
