Activities at North Park Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Resident, Cliff brought his guitar to North Park when he moved in last year, since then Cliff has kept residents and staff alike entertaining everyone with his spur-of-the-moment gatherings while encouraging everyone to enjoy a sing song.

Cliff put one of his impromptu performances on one beautifully sunny and warm afternoon in the homes garden to the delight of everyone!

Games afternoon

Residents didn’t let the bad weather ruin their plans for a games afternoon, as they simply moved indoors for a fun filled afternoon of target games.

Resident, Kathleen said she ‘had once been a master at Quoits’, playing the game with her children at home in their garden when they had been small and trying to win prizes when the fair came to town.

Kathleen had everyone laughing as she said those days were far behind her as she cheated her way through the afternoon!  Margaret won the prize for highest score over the afternoon with her skill at the target games but was happy to share her After Eights with everyone as she said it had been a very enjoyable afternoon.
