Activities at Oak Grange Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

The Grand National at Oak Grange
We had a great afternoon watching the Grand National and placing our best bets.
Our residents picked a horse from all the runners and everyone got excited when the race at Aintree Racecourse started.
The hospitality team treated our residents with a lovely buffet of delicious sweet and savoury treats, which were washed down with a glass of bubbly.
It was a lovely day, enjoyed by all.
St George's Day
It was all dragons and roses all round at Oak Grange care home, in Mollington, as residents and staff celebrated St George’s Day. Legend has it St George was a soldier in the Roman army who slayed a dragon and saved a princess, the anniversary of his death is celebrated as England’s national day.
Ducklings hatch at Oak Grange
Staff, residents and their guests at Barchester’s Oak Grange care home in Mollington were celebrating the birth of baby ducklings this week at the home.
There was a lot of egg-citement at the home as five ducklings hatched throughout the week. Residents were able to pet and feed the ducklings as they found their footing in their new home. The new additions will also be visited by students from the local primary school who will be stopping by to meet the new arrivals.

Herb garden
Activities with herbs can be a fun way to stimulate the senses, smelling different herbs and tasting them are two ways of engaging residents and using our other senses. We are growing our own herbs on the terrace to create a sensory explosion. Our green fingered Neil is planting some seeds with the residents to grow some lovely herbs.
