Activities at Park View Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Park View Coffee Trip

Park View Coffee Trip

We are often out with the residents in the local community as we are very lucky to be situated in very close proximity to cafés, pubs and shops. We have a very good relationship with the owners of these establishments and so very much enjoy going to visit everyone that work there! The residents and staff have been enjoying the winter sunshine, having a cup of tea and a slice of cake at one of our local coffee shops!

Valentines at Park View

Valentines at Park View

Our valentines raffle was drawn on Wednesday 10th February. The prizes that were up for grabs were; an amethyst necklace, a movie night hamper with a DVD, bottle of wine and a large box of chocolates! There was also a hamper full of valentines goodies which included candles, teddy bear, bottle of wine and chocolates! There were three lucky winners who got to walk away with one of these lovely prizes!

Skittles at Park View

Bowling was next on the agenda at Park View! We used the large inflatable skittles and the smaller plastic skittles to create the game for the residents! They have all expressed that they would like bowls next so we are currently on the search!

February Fun at Park View

February Fun at Park View

February has been another eventful month at Park view! Not only have we been celebrating Valentines Day we have had things going on for all of the residents old and young. We kicked off this month with a very active exercise session with Francis. We had a lively session and used the parachutes, batons and the excersie dice!

Knitting Club started this month and the residents enjoyed teaching some of younger members of staff how to knit. It was a big success and is going to be made into a regular club here at park view.

Meeting Prince Harry

Meeting Prince Harry

Two of the residents who regularly attend Mild May Day Centre enjoyed a slightly unusual visit with a special guest. HRH Prince Harry was making a visit to the centre and enjoyed meeting the regulars who use the service. The residents were thrilled to tell all their friends and family that they had spent the day with a Prince. It was a memorable day and one which the residents will always remember fondly and one which we are still hearing about today.
