Activities at Parley Place Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Brian Ramsay
I love being a friendly face for our residents. A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities. We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Parley Place Care Home
Ferndown Strummers!
We were delighted to be entertained by the Ferndown Strummers Ukulele band - they practise here fortnightly and treated us to a concert of their Christmas tunes!
Elf Day
Elf Day!
We celebrated Elf day with a visit from Parley Pre-School, we made snowmen, did some colouring and played some games. The children made us all Christmas cards and sung to us.
Guides Games Night
We held a fabulous games evening with the 3rd Ferndown Guides, we swapped tables and learnt different games from each other.
Winter Warmers
With the weather getting colder we decided to have some lovely hot chocolates with our favourite toppings. Cream, marshmallows, sprinkles - what would you choose?
Mark's Music Afternoon
What a fabulous afternoon we had yesterday when we welcomed Mark's music down to Parley for the first time. We were toe tapping, singing, dancing and had such an uplifting afternoon.
I think we will be welcoming Mark back very soon!
Remembrance Service
Lest we forget.
We were delighted to host the remembrance service for West Parley Memorial Hall here at Parley Place today.
Many thanks to St. Mark's & All Saints' Churches, West Parley for a very poignant ceremony and to all who attended today.
Also thanks to Poppies Florist Bournemouth for their wonderful flowers.
