Activities at Paternoster House Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Paternoster House Care Home
Aquatic Interests
Residents enjoyed a bus outing to an aquarium. We looked at a wide range of tropical marine life and were fascinated by the colourful and unusual fish there were to see.
Halloween Crafts
Residents got into the Halloween spirit by carving pumpkins and decorating Halloween themed biscuits. Residents and staff members got involved by carving their own pumpkin designs for their communities.
Animal Therapy
This Month Paternoster House enjoyed a visit from the Meadow Dream Bunnies, all residents interacted and engaged well. This animal therapy was a huge success and we look forward to seeing them again very soon. We are very happy to support this organisation as all proceeds are donated to charity.
Gardening Season
Residents enjoyed a bus outing to the Epping in bloom organisation. The activity enabled residents and people from the local community to come together and to take care of the beautiful gardens. It was a good day for socialising and spending time together.
Community Outing
Residents enjoyed a community bus outing to Wolden Garden Centre in Cruise Hill, where they picked a range of flowers and vegetables to plant in our sensory gardens.
Easter Activities
Residents have been getting creative for Easter by making cards and decorating bonnets with a range of brightly coloured materials. We also enjoyed Easter treats, including chocolate and hot cross buns.
Well done to our Woodlands community for winning the bonnet competition this year, and a big thank you to the residents pictured for modelling our unique designs.
