Activities at Pinetree Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Beth Hooper

Activities Lead

Hi my name is Beth and I am the activities co-ordinator

I have worked in care for the past 2 years as a carer and worked my way up to senior carer.  My main responsibilities were looking after the frail, terminally ill and residents living with dementia. I found this role incredibly rewarding and had a sense of pride every day that I was in a position to be able to make a difference to the lives of our residents.

One of the most rewarding parts of the job is getting to know the residents on an individual basis and really finding out about what they love to do so my new role as activities co-ordinator combines the two perfectly.  I love fun and laughter and finding new ways to enjoy life to the full. I am very excited about working a Pinetree and getting to know all of our residents

Pinetree Supports Dementia Awareness

We had the most wonderful day yesterday reminiscing with some beautiful families and fellow businesses.

Lisa From the Alzheimer's Society was on hand to answer any questions any one had around the disease and offer support moving forward.

We enjoyed cheese and wine and a selection of cakes whilst talking through the history of cadburys chocolate with the help of #cadburychocolate memory boxes.

Everyone shared stories about the wrappers that they recognised the most and the memories they brought back.

Creating special relationships with our future residents, their families and our support network is at the heart of what we inspire to do at Pinetree.

Golden Years Fayre

The Golden Years Fayre that we attended yesterday hosted by Browns Solicitors was a really lovely day.

We met some wonderful members of the public and other exhibitors who were truly interested in Pinetree and all we have to offer.

We made some fantastic community connections with some exciting opportunities for our future residents. Watch this space!

Garden gets a spring clean

The garden at Pinetree is getting a spring clean.

The garden will be an essential part of the lifestyle of our residents here at Pinetree, offering that home environment and keeping physically active.

Along with the option of using the potting shed and growing our own veggies in the greenhouse we have the raised flower beds and a fledgling border space, all ready to be lovingly tended by our residents and wonderful maintenance manager Steve.

Reclaim Mobility visits Pinetree

We had the pleasure of meeting Nicola Rickards from Reclaim Mobility today.

Nicola and her very experienced team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists dedicate their expertise to the wellbeing and physical development of elderly residents.

Listening to her passion for what they do and how they feel about their patients is heartwarming.

We very much look forward to working with you.
