Activities at Pinetree Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Pinetree Care Home

Joyful weekend
What a lovely weekend at Pinetree.
The sun was shining and some of our residents took the opportunity to teach staff and their friends a new skill, knitting.
Different generations spending time together with a shared interest or wanting to learn something new is s joy to watch. The sense of achievement and belonging is heartwarming. Being able to live as full a life with company and safely is what we encourage everyday at Pinetree.
Whilst some enjoyed the garden, other residents chose to spend time in the cinema watching the classic film 'Gone with the wind'. Just another example of being able to cater to the need of individual residents and their preferences.
We even had a birthday. Our gorgeous lady Lynne celebrated her birthday in style with a beautiful cake surrounded by friends. Happiest of birthdays Lynne.

Out in the garden
When the sun starts shining and the weather feeling warmer, what do we do at Pinetree?
We sit outside, get some vitamin D, discuss all the plans we intend on doing in the garden over the spring and summer months, have a walk and enjoy the first of the spring flowers making an appearance and laugh with each other whilst we encourage passers by to give us a ‘beep’ of their horns.
One of our residents is also taking advantage of having their own garden space and personalising it as they would have at home.
What a glorious afternoon. ☀️

Helping Hands
‘Keeping my independence’
When we ask residents what is most important to them when moving into care. This is right at the top of the list.
Creating safe spaces where residents can be who they want to be and carry on with life as normal. This fills us with pride at Pinetree.
Today one of our residents has been helping our housekeeping team make the beds and he was a complete professional.

Its Oscars Week
We are all ready for The Oscar’s, with a week long movie extravaganza
As you walk the red carpet avoid the paparazzi as you take a seat in our luxury cinema room for a week of Oscar winning movies

Barchester’s Bingo Bonanza
We’ve linked up with all Barchester care homes and hospitals across the country for Barchester’s Bingo Bonanza.
Our residents were treated to some exciting virtual games of Bingo as part of Barchester’ very own game show series. Well done to all the winners.
We all had a fantastic time and enjoyed some friendly competition. There was even some dancing during the interval.

Employee of the Month 'Danielle'
Let’s congratulate our Danielle on being employee of the month. Danielle is our Community Lead and Senior Carer.
Danielle goes above and beyond every single day for our residents and staff members. Danielle is always smiling and her happy nature lifts the whole home. It is with absolute pleasure that we can congratulate Danielle as she receives this recognition.
Congratulations Danielle!
