Activities at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Rebecca O’Donnell
Hi, my name is Rebecca O’Donnell. I am head of Activities for Prestbury Beaumont. I have only been here for a short time and in that time, I have worked in various departments, including care, laundry and housekeeping.
In that time, I got to know all of our residents very well, which has helped me have a better understanding of their needs and how to support them in this role whilst ensuring they receive a fulfilling experience.
I am from the Cheshire area. I have been with my partner for nearly 20 years. We have four daughters, 1 grandson, dogs and granddogs and a horse we all adore. I like to travel and see new places, and I am looking forward to working here for a long time and furthering my skills.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Meet David the Owl
We are delighted to introduce you to David the Owl who stands proudly in our beautiful extensive grounds for all to see. David the Owl was very generously donated to the home by a relative. A massive thank you for all at Prestbury Beaumont.

Winners of our wreath challenge!
Congratulations go to our administration team here at Prestbury as winners of our inter-departmental wreath making competition. Our regular in-house competitions make a little friendly competition and whole home approach whilst we show our creative sides. What shall we challenge each other too next?

Trip to the garden centre
In the build up to the big day, residents enjoyed a trip out to popular garden centre – Woodford Garden Centre.. Woodford Garden centre offers a wonderful day out to visitors – it’s a great place to meet up and enjoy a spot of shopping and a place to eat in its restaurant or café area.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking time to admire all the impressive Christmas displays, trees and decorations on offer and stopped off for refreshments in the cafe.
It was a really festive outing and we’d loved that festive feeling!

Christmas festivities
At the beginning of the Christmas festivities, we spent time decorating our home with colourful themed ornaments, lights and baubles. Our residents had fun creating the home’s Christmas displays and got involved in arts and crafts sessions to paint baubles and make the beautiful decorations for our Christmas tree.
We also spent time creating our wonderful wreath centre-pieces for the big day. Everyone had an wonderful Christmas and are beginning to look forward to a fun filled 2024.

Merry Christmas
Here at Prestbury Beaumont we had a fantastic Christmas Day, which involved themed movies, singing and dancing, family visits followed by a beautiful festive lunch with turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, puddings and cakes.
In the morning we welcomed Father Christmas and his elves from the North Pole, who brought gifts to all our residents - everyone was busy opening their presents and enjoying a glass of bubbly before the festive feast, prepared by our talented chef and kitchen team.
After lunch, we tuned in to watch and listen to the King's speech. Our day was filled with joy, smiles, music and laughter.
We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Pet Therapy
Residents of Prestbury Beaumont welcomed their special friend, Henrik back to the home. Henrik brought some festive cheer and smiles to everyone’s faces as he popped into say hello to everyone.
Pet therapy has a positive impact and helps improve the quality of life and are great companions and we love our visits by Henrik.
