Activities at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Rebecca O’Donnell
Hi, my name is Rebecca O’Donnell. I am head of Activities for Prestbury Beaumont. I have only been here for a short time and in that time, I have worked in various departments, including care, laundry and housekeeping.
In that time, I got to know all of our residents very well, which has helped me have a better understanding of their needs and how to support them in this role whilst ensuring they receive a fulfilling experience.
I am from the Cheshire area. I have been with my partner for nearly 20 years. We have four daughters, 1 grandson, dogs and granddogs and a horse we all adore. I like to travel and see new places, and I am looking forward to working here for a long time and furthering my skills.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community

Herstory of Mayfair
Residents across our services had a fantastic time joining Mandy Morrow for a virtual walking tour to learn about the ‘Herstory’ of Mayfair. The Mayfair of Nightingales may be long gone but it still holds a 20th century charm. Birthplace to the late Queen Elizabeth II, home to one of WWII's most decorated female war heroes and a tale of a wealthy Aristocrat and one of France's favourite designers.
We were delighted to take a walk down memory lane and discover stories from one of London's most iconic areas. The experience was truly enjoyed by all.

National Ice Cream Day
Residents across our homes had a fantastic time during a special live virtual event in celebration on National Ice Cream Day. Wall’s team took us on a great journey through history, sharing fascinating details about the brand since its launch in 1922. We learned about major innovations such as the introduction of Mr Whippy, Cornetto, Viennetta, Twister, and Carte d'Or.
Residents were treated to a singalong to Cornetto classic ads, an interactive quiz about fun Wall’s facts and best-of-all, an ice-cream tasting session. It was a delightful experience for everyone, especially our ice-cream lovers.

Cheese and Wine Tasting
At our recent residents meeting our residents asked if we could have a cheese and wine tasting afternoon.
Our activities and hospitality team put together a fantastic afternoon! We found out about the origins of each wine that was sampled, scoring each one out of five. We then followed this with delicious cheese and crackers!

Place your bets!
Residents and staff at Prestbury Beaumont care home in Prestbury; dressed to impress, donned their best hats, studied the form and had their bets at the ready for Royal Ascot, which ran from 18th – 22nd June.
Residents and staff got together to watch the races, and also celebrated in a very Royal Ascot fashion by having Prosecco and Bucks Fizz, modelling hats, fascinators and dressing up for the occasion!

Residents join dogs welfare charity
Residents across our homes had a fantastic time during a special live virtual event, led by Jennifer and Emily from Dogs Trust, the UK's largest dog welfare charity.
Jennifer and Emily took us on a journey to discover the rich history of Dogs Trust and their facilities.
Using captivating video and photo footage, our residents were able to explore rehoming centres and learn more about the highest level of welfare offered there. It was a delightful experience for everyone, especially our dog lovers.

Exercise Class
We had a fantastic exercise class from Lewis at LD Dance last week!
He really engages all our residents and adapts his routine to suit all abilities.
We know movement and exercise are key to keeping our residents healthy. Our varied life enrichment plan ensures we work on preserving and improving the skills our residents have, so we really celebrate life to the fullest!
