Activities at Queens Court Care Home

Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Life at Queens Court Care Home

Zoo Lab at Queens Court!

A fun afternoon where we could see, touch and hear everything about them.

Frogs, Lizards, Spiders, Snails, and many other exotic reptiles.

Our residents were incredibly brave taking a snake in their hands and amazed by a frog that climbed up the wall changing color.

Many of our residents recalled their trips where they saw these exotic reptiles, everyone had something to say and asked very interesting questions in the afternoon.

Menopause Awareness Event!

Another successful Menopause Awareness Event!

Jacqui Sechiari who is Women’s Health and Fitness Coach specialising in menopause was the speaker at the meeting provided everyone with a lot of valuable information and knowledge on how and where to seek support.

Thank you very much we are happy that we can support women!

The next meeting is on October 23rd in Queens Court and the speaker will be Sarah Wilde who is a sleep coach!

Respite and short Stay at Queens Court

Queens Court Care Home offer short stay and respite stays for those that need a break from the usual routine or support whilst away.

National Care Awards Nomination

Queens Court has been nominated as a finalist in The National Care Awards as The Dignity and Respect Care Home of the Year.

Queens Court attention to detail is due to everyone here working in harmony and making everyday unique and special for our residents, staff and visitors, so we get to know our residents and their interests.

We have implemented evidence-based practices, introducing a Namaste sensory programme over 7 days to meet the different needs of our residents, lighting, surveys about wellbeing and this has helped the home manage and implement change. Dignity and respect is at centre of what we do.  We love what we do here and being nominated is a huge bonus.

Many Thanks to the Activities team for organising such an event.
