Activities at Queens Court Care Home
Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

We are delighted to introduce Emilia as our Activities Lead. Emilia has been part of Queens Court for some time and is excellent in ensuring our residents have a full and interesting life introducing many new hobbies, activities and experiences!

Life at Queens Court Care Home
A very happy birthday at Queens Court!
Our resident, Janet and her family were treated to a very special garden birthday party to make up for last year's celebrations being slightly more downbeat due to the pandemic. Safely held in our Courtyard Garden, we all enjoyed showering her with gifts and shared chef's amazing afternoon birthday tea washed down with more than a glass or two of bubbly! Happy Birthday Janet!
Puffin Rescue Centre
What a special afternoon we had at Queens Court!! Our Residents were treated to a virtual tour of the wonderful world of SEA LIFE Trust’s Puffin Rescue Centre at the Beluga Whale Sanctuary in Iceland, hosted by General Manager, Audrey Padgett and her expert team!
"Anyone for Tennis?"
It may have been raining up the road in Centre Court, but we were nice and snug with ring side seats to watch some amazing matches while we enjoyed Chef's superb strawberry and cream tea!
Queens Court Open Day
We all had a fantastic day in the sunshine welcoming visitors to our home to meet our residents and team in a safe environment and experience what life is really like in an award winning establishment!
Many people booked further visits to ensure a wonderful room in their new forever home!
25 years service!
Queens Court have many long serving team members including General Manager, Shaaron. She recruited a fantastic care assistant at the same time as she joined; 25 years ago, our dear friend and colleague, Radha Squires. Radha's journey progressed through to the role as "Care Practitioner" and was supported by Queens Court to achieve her life long dream of being a nurse. An amazing one she is too! Rhada is now one Barchester's top clinical leads! Congratulations on your 25 years of service Rhada and thank you for all you do!
