Activities at Queens Court Care Home
Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

We are delighted to introduce Emilia as our Activities Lead. Emilia has been part of Queens Court for some time and is excellent in ensuring our residents have a full and interesting life introducing many new hobbies, activities and experiences!

Life at Queens Court Care Home
Nutrition and Hydration Week
Barchester Healthcare go over and above to ensure that residents have the best nutrition tailored to their specific needs and that we ensure hydration is properly offered and monitored even to those who find eating and drinking difficult. Queens Court are champions and leaders in this regard and were able to show how during this very important week: "Nutrition and Hydration" week.
Carers Day
Queens Court pride themselves on award winning care and so as often as we can, but in particular today, Carers Day, we made sure we awarded our winning team! Thank you our dear carers for all you do!
Antique Roadshow
Michael Laikin, Antique Dealer and Ex BBC "Antique Roadshow" presenter delighted us with some hilarious anecdotes of his life on the road and helped us look at our treasures in a new light as well as valuing them and the Mayors (our new Mayor of Merton joined in and took tea with us) gold chain!
Tea Tasting Day!
Any time is a great time to taste different teas! Today was no exception and our resident "gurus" decided on their top three flavours which chef will now add to his stock to serve on demand with the the usual Queens Court top range of buffet fare!

"Blooming Haus" Flower Arranging Tutorial
Flower arranging is such a relaxing, creative and therapeutic activity and so we were delighted to be able to take part in a virtual "Master Class" by "Blooming Haus." Our residents made some stunning vases and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
