Activities at Queens Court Care Home

Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Life at Queens Court Care Home

World Children Day

Residents at Queens Court commemorated World Children Day by colouring some lovely pictures and thinking about togetherness around the world, hoping for a better future for every child. They also enjoyed some delicious muffins, homemade by our Head Chef.

Festival of Lights

Queens Court was lit up for Diwali. The well-travelled residents enjoyed a nostalgic return to India by celebrating the Festival of Lights. Several staff brought their ingenuity into work to recreate a home from home experience. It was glittering, glamorous and gorgeous.

Turn and Face the Strange

It was party time again at Queens Court! Our creative staff & residents enjoyed fun-filled Halloween celebrations. Food was prepared by our dancing Head Chef, with music by Talented Kwaku, and decorations and entertainment by the team and residents of Queens Court.

Visiting Re-open!

You can now visit your relatives at Queens Court. Our visiting suite is ready and we are sharing this good news with our relatives and friends. It is hygienic and sealed and COVID-secure. Residents can see their loved ones and engage in conversation. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again!
