Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Rose Lodge Care Home

Christmas Party with the Mayor
Our home embraced the Christmas spirit by hosting a star-studded Christmas party, featuring a special guest – the Mayor of Wisbech, Councillor Sidney Imafidon.
He joined our residents for an evening of musical entertainment provided by KJ and the Catt.
The Christmas party was in full swing as our residents enjoyed a feast of festive foods prepared by the home's chef.

Christmas Pantomime
A group of our residents enjoyed a trip to the Rosmini Centre to join the local community for a fun-filled pantomime featuring the festive classic, Jack and the Beanstalk.
Our residents were delighted by this fun filled retelling of the classic fairy-tale and were delighted to share in the fun with the wider community in attendance.

Ukulele Fun
Our residents were delighted to welcome the Hereward Ukulele Group. Established in January 2019, the group convenes bi-monthly for practice sessions at the Braza Club in March, Cambridgeshire.
We were delighted when they offered to visit our home perform for our residents.
One resident commented on the the harmonious sounds of the ukuleles, while another thoroughly enjoyed singing along to the melodies. The residents of Rose Lodge would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the group for providing a delightful afternoon of music.

Residents enjoy Christmas Carols
Heavenly voices rang out at the Rose Lodge as the community came together to celebrate Christmas with a carol concert.
Staff and residents at Rose Lodge got in the Christmas spirit by inviting the community to come and join in with a carol concert to sing some festive Christmas favourites. The singing was led by the young peoples from the Marshland High School.
There was a variety of tasty treats and festive refreshments on offer to our special guests, prepared by the home

A Christmas Carol with the Old Vic
Across our homes we’ve had the most wonderful time celebrating the festive season with a special screening of 2020’s OLD VIC: IN CAMERA – A Christmas Carol.
This beautifully staged production brought the magic of Dickens’ classic tale right into our homes. A huge thank you to The Old Vic theatre for sharing this incredible performance with us. It was a truly wonderful experience.

Elf Day Fun
Colleagues in the home swapped their uniforms for costumes on National Elf Day (Wednesday December 4) in an effort to raise funds and awareness to help people living with dementia.
Launched by the Alzheimer’s Society and delivered direct from the North Pole, Elf Day was created to sprinkle some festive cheer on fundraising towards finding a cure for dementia. From stripy socks to head-to-toe elf outfits, anything goes – there’s snow better way to raise money to help beat dementia.
On the day, residents and staff were able to enjoy elf-themed games including elf-bingo paired with an afternoon of mulled wine and minced pies as the team at the home donned their elfish apparel.
