Activities at Ross Court Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Ross Court Care Home
Ross Court Celebrate Barchester's 30 Years of Care
Ross Court residents and staff joined in celebrations across the country as Barchester marked 30 years in care. Following a special lunch and toast with bubbly there was a 90s themed pub quiz.
Fun at The Engine Shed
Ross Court residents had such fun on a recent trip to The Engine Shed, trying on hats and fun glasses as well as enjoying a stroll around. After all the excitment everyone enjoyed a drink and cake in the restaurant.
Making Poppies for Remembrance
Ross Court residents carefully made paper poppies to put around the home for this week’s Remembrance Day. They also made purple poppies which marks the animals that died during wars. Residents will be watching the services on TV to honour those who served.
VR Adventures
Ross Court residents were taken on several adventures today as our activities coordinator, Hayley bought in her VR. They fed and watched the dolphins under the sea and also watched Henry the hedgehog celebrate his birthday what an amazing experience for us all.
Residents Get on their Broomsticks!
It's nearly Halloween and the residents dressed for the occasion with their very own broom sticks for a photo shoot! What a giggle we had and this was followed by a Halloween quiz.
Halloween Preparations
We have been busy decorating the home and gardens of Ross Court over the last few days getting ready for Halloween fun. Our spooky trail is looking very spooky! Residents loved making pom pom spiders even naming them! We are all very much looking forward to the up and coming Halloween celebrations.
