Activities at Ross Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Visit from Walford Primary School

Ross Court had a fantastic day with a visit from the children from Walford primary school.  It was a pleasure to welcome them, Hayley our Activities Coordinator had put together a bird hunt around our gardens as well as noting their visit was on World Chocolate Day.  To celebrate the hospitality team made fruit kebabs for the chocolate fountain.   There were lots of chocolate covered faces!  The children sang a lovely song to the residents, called the Days of the Week.  Hayley had one final treat for the children and residents, the Ross Court sweet trolley.  Time really did fly by, before we knew parents picked them up, thank you all for visiting us and the gorgeous thank you card, what a wonderful day had by all.

Baptist Church Service at Ross Court

Ross Court very much appreciate the services from Ross-On-Wye Baptist Church.  Residents enjoy singing along to hymns, but also the time to reflect and for some to pray.

Pamper Afternoon

Residents had a wonderful pamper afternoon at Ross Court.  Nails were trimmed, filed and polished.  Thank you Sophie, Jane, Korrina and Hayley for making this a special afternoon, the ladies really enjoyed this time and the end results look gorgeous.

National Cream Tea Day and a Special Thank You

Ross Court residents love a cream tea so we had to have one for National Cream Tea Day!  We had our own tea party, thank you to Helena the chef.  Hayley went above and beyond for one of our residents Stella the previous day and received lovely flowers from the family, she said how kind it was and she was very grateful.

Going off Plan!

The weather has been kind again to us today so we took our activities outside, we have totally gone off plan and had a fun outside game.  There were some real laughs and some nifty shots we had a break when Anca and Rhiannon turned up with a refreshing plate of fruit.

Happy Father's Day

The Ross Court team worked together to make it a Father’s Day to remember.  There was some great fun with the photos and residents enjoyed time with their families.  The hospitality team served a Sunday roast with a selection of beers, it was a perfect relaxing Sunday.
