Activities at Ross Court Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Ross Court Care Home
Seed Planting
Today residents planted seeds ready for the summer pots, we will have Sunflowers, Californian Poppies, Asters and Alyssums. We also got some other plants out of the greenhouse. There was a discussion about the news with so much going on everyone is keen to watch the news and read the papers. We also looked through the photo book that we put together a few weeks back showing all we do in Ross Court.
Celebrating St David's Day and Shrove Tuesday
March 1st was incredibly busy this year with St David’s Day and Shrove Tuesday. We started by decorating the dining room with Welsh flags, our chef made amazingly tasty Welsh cakes which whilst enjoying we had a talk on the history of St David. Some of the residents also made daffodils. During the afternoon we enjoyed pancakes with different toppings.
Early Easter Chicks
We have got creative at Ross Court today; although early we started some Easter crafts making Easter chicks which are very cute.
Giggles at Skittles
Skittles is very much in the top five of favourite activities at Ross Court and today we had such a giggle playing. After wake and shake this morning it has been a very active day!
Sunny Strolls
The sun was out and the residents of Ross Court loved their garden walks today; we noticed that the snowdrops and crocuses are coming into bud. We also noticed there was movement from the birds in and around the new bird boxes we put up. The gardens bring so much joy to us all and we have lots of plans for the year ahead.
Happy Birthday Joan
Happy birthday Joan! We spent the day doing some of Joan's favourite things; a quiz, hangman and giant crossword. Joan informs us she is still 21 and like all our residents is young at heart.
